The World Energy Congress, being World Energy Council’s global flagship event is the premier international, multi-energy forum for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective. The 23rd World Energy Congress was held in Istanbul on October 9-13, 2016. The main theme for Congress “Embracing New Frontiers” promises an innovative concept and content.

Energy Access (EA) forms one of the core pillars of WEC India and it chose to engage itself with ground level issues of sustainability of village electrification. WEC India in collaboration with WEC initiated a study-cum-project of creating village inventory for purpose of Energy Access. As a part of the project, Bhindawas village in Haryana, was surveyed for mapping the energy access parameters. .
